It officially designates June 14, 2025 as Flag Day and the week of June 8–14, 2025 as National Flag Week. Federal buildings are directed to display the flag during that week, consistent with every prior year’s proclamation under the same 1949 and 1966 congressional resolutions. It also reiterates the existing congressional designation of the period from Flag Day (June 14) through Independence Day (July 4) as a time for public ceremonies and Pledge of Allegiance recitations.
Federal agency officials are directed to ensure the U.S. flag is flown on federal government buildings during National Flag Week. All U.S. residents are encouraged — though not legally required — to display the flag and participate in public observances between Flag Day and Independence Day.
